Designed in collaboration with talented surfer, shaper, and photographer Dane Peterson, the Peto Flex is an all-around longboard fin designed for plenty of speed, hold, and projection. We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to join forces with Dane–he is so intimately familiar with surfboard and fin design, and has a finely-tuned knack for knowing exactly what he wants in a fin. We collaborated on exactly how to achieve his desired performance, and voilà : the Peto Flex was born. What this fin doesn’t have in base width, it makes up for in rake. This distribution of area makes the Peto Flex well-suited for noseriding, surfing in the pocket, and large sweeping turns. Its extended rake and narrow tip call for a specially designed foil that only our Volan construction can provide. Its stiff performance flex will provide plenty of projection as well as an especially lively and responsive feeling Our Volan fins are fine-tuned with precision foils as well as proper flex. Crafted with a labor of love at our factory in Santa Barbara, CA, these fins undergo the strictest quality control. Our Volan panels are meticulously hand-laid and templated ensuring optimal weave orientation and superior strength, with flex coming more from the body rather than just the tip.
