The Crew
The people who design, build, and finish every Lundquist board. Plus the riders we are proud to support as they come aboard.
Blake Lundquist
San Clemente, CA · Regular foot
Hometown: San Clemente, CA
Blake designs every Lundquist model in Shape3D and tests most of them personally — the ones he doesn't get to ride himself get validated by surfers he trusts. He grew up in San Clemente, took up surfing seriously at twelve, and started shaping in Laie while at BYU Hawaii under the guidance of local shaper Arthur "Toots" Anchinges. The first board he built was a longboard for himself; the second was for his wife Sara. Every board in the current catalog traces back to that second build.

Every Lundquist board passes through these five sets of hands.
Founder & Designer
Blake Lundquist
San Clemente, CA
Designs every Lundquist model. Oversees every custom-order consultation and final QC. Has ridden every board type in the catalog before committing to a production template.
Machine Cut Operator & Factory Manager
Steve Lack
Chicago, IL
Cuts every Lundquist blank on the CNC. Routes fin boxes and leash plugs. Runs QC on every board before it leaves. Helped Blake develop the order-card system the shop uses today.
Shaper & Finisher
Jack Sykes
Huntington Beach, CA
Cleans every CNC cut, shapes to spec, sands, hot-coats, and does the finish work on every Lundquist board. Has owned a glass shop and worked with some of the best board builders in the world. The detail on a finished Lundquist runs through Jack's hands.
Design Collaborator
Daniel Keggie
Durban, South Africa
World-class shaper from Durban, South Africa. Reviews every new Lundquist design before it gets cut. Has worked with some of the best surfers in the world and helped build up brands across South Africa, the UK, and Israel. Pokes holes in Blake's ideas so the boards come out the way they're meant to.
Laminator
Greg Klone
San Juan Capistrano, CA
Laminates every Lundquist board to the order card — exactly. Years with Lost and Bashams before joining the shop. If something goes wrong mid-build, he surfaces it and works through options. An artist's eye, and an artist's patience.

Team Riders
We are building our rider team one person at a time — reaching out to surfers whose riding style and character match the brand. No fillers, no hype.
If that sounds like you, let us know.
Want to Ride for Lundquist? →The People Behind the Process
Lundquist Surfboards is what it is today because of mentors, collaborators, and craftspeople whose fingerprints are on the work. A few of them —
Arthur "Toots" Anchinges
Laie, Hawaii
The shaper who first walked Blake through a factory. The first board Blake ever built was shaped under his guidance.
Brian Hovnanian
Newport Beach, CA
Early collaborator who helped Blake transition from hand-shaping to a Shape3D-driven production workflow.
Chuck Burns
San Clemente, CA
Stepped in on shaping at a critical moment and shared the insights only 10,000+ hours behind a planer produce.
Raul Ampudia
San Clemente, CA
First laminator Blake worked with after returning from Hawaii. Still a friend; currently transitioning toward retirement.
Joe Osterkamp
Blake's grandfather
Surfed Killer Dana before the harbor. His 12'1" Gordie tandem is still in the family, still ridden. The Legacy model carries his spirit forward.
