Wanted — Build Specifications

Forgiving HPSB built around a continuous-double-concave platform — capped at 6'4" by design and meant to ride 2–6 inches shorter than the surfer's daily HPSB. Carries fuller foam (20.000" wide at 5'10" vs the Innuendo's 19.125") and runs continuous double concave throughout for sustained drive through fattier wave faces. Sits parallel-but-distinct from the Innuendo: Innuendo is the Lundquist everyday-driver HPSB; Wanted is the forgiving HPSB tuned to a slightly less committed rider envelope. Riders needing length above 6'4" should consider the Innuendo (everyday HPSB), Five Horizons (drive-priority HPSB), or Talisman Step-Up (true step-up territory).

Length capped at 6'4" by design — riders needing larger should consider Innuendo (everyday HPSB), Five Horizons (drive-priority HPSB), or Talisman Step-Up (true step-up territory). Daniel maintains 5 master Shape3D files (4'9" / 5'4" / 5'10" / 6'2" / 6'4") per tail variant; non-master rows in this table are linearly interpolated between adjacent masters per House Style §5 (same-outline-across-sizes rule). Custom orders outside the 5 masters scale within ~3" of the nearest master. Featured customer set on /models/wanted defaults to the 26–35L band (5'5"–5'11"); full 4'9"–6'4" catalog above is the partner-shop reference.

OUTLINE

Wide point
center
Wide point (in)
Approximately 35.0" from tail at 5'10" reference (centered with subtle forward pull). Shape3D round-trip pending for exact value.
Parallel section length
Short — wide point flows quickly into the back-quarter outline pull-in. Parallel mid-section minimal by design.
Nose width range
Pulls in narrow toward the very tip per Lundquist House Style §1 (cross-board very-tip-of-nose curve match). Specific nose widths not published on shortboards (longboard + glider category only).
Tail width range
Squash tail at default. Width supports the fuller-foam stance — Daniel PDF flagged "verify squash tail width at 5'10" on round-trip." Specific tail widths not published in the public stock-dim catalog for shortboards.

ROCKER

Entry
medium
Exit
low

Forgiving HPSB with drive-priority tail rocker. The flat tail (LOW, 1.94" at 5'10") is the continuous-double sustained-drive signature; the medium nose (3.66" at 5'10", low end of MED per Lundquist-calibrated thresholds) gives forgiving paddle without straying into small-wave-grovel territory. Designed specifically to be ridden 2–6" shorter than a daily HPSB.

BOTTOM CONTOUR

Family: Continuous double concave throughout — depth-modulated, not pattern-shifted

  • Deeper through the fin cluster (drive priority — pairs with the LOW tail rocker for sustained speed maintenance)
  • Shallower at the wide point
  • Shallower through the nose

NOT a 3-stage transition contour. Wanted runs continuous double through the whole bottom, depth-modulated rather than pattern-shifted. The "always-on" drive feel comes from the channel system never transitioning — pair that with flat tail rocker (1.94" at 5'10") and the board maintains speed through fattier wave faces instead of stalling between contour zones.

RAILS

Profile: 60/40 mid → hard-down through the last 12" of the tail

  • 60/40 rails through the midsection (House Style §3) — forgiving rail-to-rail engagement for everyday surf
  • Hard-down rails through the last 12" of the tail (House Style §3) — clean release at speed, lively off the top
  • Apex placement consistent with the rest of the Lundquist line — surfers oriented on any other Lundquist will feel oriented on this one
  • Foil pulled forward of center; thinned-out tail signature applies despite Wanted's fuller-foam character (House Style §2 + §4)

TAIL VARIANTS + FIN SETUPS

Width (at reference)
Approximately 14.5" at 5'10" reference (Shape3D round-trip pending exact value — fuller-foam stance pairs with wider-tail squash per Daniel PDF refinement asks)
Tail depth
1.94" tail rocker at 5'10" reference (LOW per Lundquist-calibrated thresholds)

Industry-standard HPSB tail. Release + drive balance for everyday performance shortboard riding. Stock build — matches the forgiving-HPSB everyday-shopping reflex.

RECOMMENDED FINS

FCS II
AM2 PC (Al Merrick Medium 2, Performance Core) — modern HPSB everyday template; mid-rake (neutral) with pivot lean matches the forgiving-HPSB brief
Futures
F6 — Performer-tier mid-rake (neutral) template suited to forgiving HPSB; pairs with the continuous-double sustained-drive contour
True Ames
Volcanic AM2 Black — modern HPSB template that pairs with the Wanted's continuous-double platform
NVS
Speed-Stiff Medium — sustained-drive template matching Wanted's continuous-double signature
Lundquist Shop Pick
FCS II AM2 PC

Most-recognized modern HPSB template for the forgiving-HPSB everyday rider; easy to source through any local surf shop and broadly suited to Wanted's mid-rake (neutral) profile with pivot lean.

GLASS SCHEDULE

Deck
4oz S-glass + 4oz warp glass
Bottom
4oz E-glass (plus reinforcement patches at fin boxes for added strength)
Finish
sanded

Two same-weight, same-weave layers shouldn't meet on the rail — that's why the deck runs S-glass + warp glass and the bottom runs E-glass. S-glass goes where the board takes the most beating; the bottom layer prioritizes clean lam and rail integrity. Tier upgrade to gloss + polish ships in the upgrade tier. Carbon tail patch and 4oz extra deck-patch upgrades add lam work; stringer and foam upgrades available per build.

SHAPER NOTES

The Wanted is the Lundquist forgiving HPSB built around a continuous-double-concave platform — fuller foam under the front foot, the same channel system from nose to tail, flat tail rocker for sustained drive. We cap it at 6'4" by design: the volume curve is meant to be ridden 2–6 inches shorter than the surfer's daily HPSB, and 6'5"+ pushes outside the shortboard envelope. The very-tip-of-nose pull-in matches the rest of the line per House Style §1 — same-curve-across-models is a Lundquist signature. Foil is pulled forward; the tail thins out aggressively in the last 12 inches per House Style §2, even though Wanted runs fuller foam overall — the thin-tail signature applies regardless of category positioning. Hard-down rails through the last 12 inches with 60/40 mids; same-outline-across-sizes scaling per House Style §5 means a 4'9" Wanted and a 6'4" Wanted are the same shape sized to length, not different boards. Squash is the stock tail; swallow is the custom alt with Jack adding the notch after CNC. Thruster is the stock fin scope (quad-default lives at 2nd to None per brand architecture); 5-fin (quad+nubster) is the custom alt for surfers wanting quad mode for sustained-drive on good-wave days.
