About this fin
Designed by Malibu legend Greg Liddle in 1968, the L-Flex fin was created to complement his pioneering “modified displacement hull” surfboards, built around hydrodynamic boat-hull principles for smooth trim and effortless glide. Its precise flex and foil deliver projection, drive, and responsiveness, making it a favorite for boards built for speed and fluid, rail-driven turns. More than 40 years later, the L-Flex remains one of True Ames’ most refined and enduring designs—a testament to Greg’s vision and craftsmanship.
