Five Horizons — Build Specifications
Drive-priority HPSB built around a hybrid fuller-foam BRO outline and a low tail rocker (1.93" at 5'10" = 2.76% of length) that keeps the rear engaged through power sections. Modeled after the Lost Sub Driver 3.0, with the same vee-blended double back third that gives held-rail step-up-feel drive without step-up rocker. Sits a notch above the Innuendo for surfers chasing the same daily-driver paddle plus extra reach into shoulder-to-overhead+ surf with shape and push. NOT a step-up — the rocker package and outline are everyday-HPSB; what is different is where the contour and the foil load the rail through power. Partner shops should size to BRO track (PRO track dropped per May 6 catalog decision) and let the variable-sizing framework cover performance W/T flex.

BRO track. The 5-master Daniel anchors (4'9" / 5'4" / 5'10" / 6'2" / 6'7") are authoritative; intermediate sizes interpolate along the same fuller-foam volume curve. Per-length rocker scales linearly from those anchors at ~0.07"/inch nose, ~0.028"/inch tail. Volume band 26–35L (default featured set 5'8"–6'3"); full catalog reveals via the All sizes toggle. Customers wanting performance W/T flex should use the variable-sizing framework on the model page rather than a separate PRO track.

The LOW tail rocker (1.93" at 5'10" = 2.76% of length) is the Lundquist signature — flatter than most modern HPSB peers. Keeps the rear engaged through power sections and preserves paddle on softer days. Medium-at-HIGH-boundary nose rocker (4.90" at 5'10" = 7.00% of length) gives confident drop-in on a steep face without bogging in fatter water. Daniel Batch 1 directive: preserve the LOW tail rocker through refinement; do not drift it up to MED.
BOTTOM CONTOUR
Family: Single concave deep under front foot → vee-blended double through fins
- Deep single concave under the lead foot — loads the rail cleanly into a steep takeoff
- Vee-blend transition zone through the fins
- Vee-blended double through the back third — splits water for projection without step-up rocker
Single concave loads the lead foot through the front 2/3, blending into a vee-bias through the fins that splits to a double through the last third. The vee-blend back third is the per-model differentiator — it gives held-rail drive through power sections, the Sub Driver 3.0 reference. Public PNG currently shows single concave only; vee-blend update flagged for Daniel round-trip.
RAILS
Profile: 60/40 mid → hard-down through last 12" of tail
- 60/40 down rails through the midsection — forgiving rail-to-rail at speed
- Hard rails through the last 12" of the tail per House Style §3 — release water cleanly so the rail holds drive instead of washing out mid-turn
- Foil-forward distribution per House Style §4 — foam pulled forward of center; thin-tail signature per House Style §2 (foam-from-tail trim through last 12" of all 5 masters)

Bite off the back foot in punchy surf. The fork in the tail spreads water for slightly looser feel through the fins. CNC cuts a square tail; Jack hand-cuts the swallow notch after the machine cut. +$15 upcharge per custom-pricing.ts.

RECOMMENDED FINS
Mid-rake balance matches the Five Horizons drive-priority brief; Futures box is the Lundquist site-wide default.
GLASS SCHEDULE
- Deck
- 4oz S-cloth + 4oz warp
- Bottom
- 4oz S-cloth
- Finish
- sanded
Standard HPSB schedule per Lundquist house spec. Tier upgrade to gloss + polish ships in the $1,100 Premium tier. Surfers chasing heavier-duty step-up use can bump deck to 6oz + 4oz at the cost of a slightly heavier swing weight; surface as a customizer toggle if that build comes up.
SHAPER NOTES
Five Horizons earns the cross-batch USP — the HPSB that paddles like a grovel — through its low tail rocker (1.93" at 5'10"), flatter than most modern HPSB peers. The fuller-foam BRO outline pairs with the same very-tip-of-nose pull-in curve as the Innuendo (House Style §1 cross-board DNA) and the same hard-down-through-the-last-12" rail commitment (House Style §3) — what makes a Lundquist a Lundquist holds across every model in the line. The vee-blended double back third is the per-model differentiator: it gives held-rail drive through power sections without the high-tail-rocker penalty of a true step-up. Foil-forward distribution per House Style §4 — foam pulled forward of center, thinned aggressively through the back third per the thin-tail signature (House Style §2). Same outline scales across all 5 master sizes (House Style §5). Daniel Batch 1 directive: preserve the LOW tail rocker through refinement; do not drift it up to MED — the flat tail is THE drive-priority signature.
